You have put it so beautifully, Parool, that inexplicable tug that Mumbai has - that keeps so many of us here despite ourselves!💖💖

I love this piece Parool. I have also lived in Mumbai at two different stages in my life. It is so weird and wonderful how the city changes based on which stage of your life you are in at that point of time. Your piece me wonder and reflect on this crazy city I call home!

Reading a new perspective about a city I do not know at all but heard so many perspectives about - each of them talking about the hustle, the ambition, the ruthlessness of this metropolis. Yours is gentle, perhaps you see it like you would want it to be like the hometown of your imagination. A lovely piece Parool.

Ah! what a sweet ode (and love letter) to my dear Bombay <3

For someone who has been here all her life and cannot imagine living elsewhere, it's also such a fresh perspective :)

Thank you for writing this, Parool (only Parool) :)

Such a wise piece. What you said about us not being able to find ourselves while safely in our own homes is so true!

Isn't it ironic, Binu? That we must leave home to come home to ourselves? <3

True! And always a sense of “why did I not know this when I was younger?” But that is a pointless question.

Wow! This describes Mumbai and relationship people have so well. The twin combination of knowing and not known can happen only in Mumbai
